Married at Millbridge- R+F

How did you meet?
We met on Tinder in January 2015. We matched, started chatting and met about 5 days later. Our first date was dinner and a drink at the Hilton rooftop bar.
As cheesy as it sounds, it was love at first swipe!
Why did you choose to host your wedding day here at Millbridge Court?
We weren’t rushing into wedding planning, but after our engagement, Reena’s Mum kept sending venue suggestions. This actually prompted us to start looking for a venue!
Reena came across Millbridge Court on Instagram. She spotted a photo showcasing the tall, contemporary windows — it immediately caught her eye, so she reached out and booked a viewing.
At the viewing, we were blown away! Millbridge Court was stunning, spacious, and had a calm, welcoming energy. As we were hosting a dual ceremony wedding with over 130 guests, we wanted plenty of space — the layout was perfectly suited for our big day.
We used the Ceremony Room for the civil ceremony and the Arbour for the Hindu ceremony. In the evening, we used the two main rooms — one for the dancefloor and bar, and the other for the roulette table, 360 booth, and selfie station. We also had children attend our wedding, so having a dedicated space for a creche area, along with the generous green spaces, made it safe and fun for kids.
Millbridge Court matched our vision for the ideal wedding venue. We knew it was perfect for us — and our guests loved it too. One guest told us that each event of the day felt like a brand new space, which enhanced their experience and made the day enjoyable.
Tell us more about your suppliers and why you chose them?
We wanted suppliers who understood our vision and could be trusted to bring it to life. We booked most of our suppliers around two years before our wedding day, and each one impressed us with their quality of work and professionalism.
The design of our wedding was really important to us, and our wedding planner, Jessica, truly understood our vision and helped bring it to life — shout out to Style It Events!
Personal Touch Events managed the entertainment and MC’d the day — we had DJ Kramar, Alain Ramanisum, and Ivan Antalika, all famous performers in the Mauritian community! The guests loved this aspect of the wedding, and we were so pleased we could bring this culture and energy to our day.
Here’s a list of some of our other wonderful suppliers:
- Cake: Sweet Hollywood
- Photographer: Photos by Abhi
- Bride’s Makeup Artist: Manisha Makeup Artist
- Videographer: Samuel George Films
- Florals: Forest and the Flowers
- Petals: Rose Petal Shop
- Wedding Favours: Celine’s Homemade Bakes
- Hindu Bridal & Groom Outfits: Estie Couture
- Wedding furniture and props: The Little Wedding Warehouse
- Creche: The Wedding Creche
- Roulette table: My Gaming Table
- 360 Video Booth: Ace 360 Booth
We’re so grateful to each of our suppliers for playing such a big role in making our wedding day so special. Thank you!
What was the favourite part of your wedding journey?
Reena:
I loved all the moments when we reached a key milestone, such as finalising the menus, selecting the wine, designing the signage, receiving the confetti petals, and seeing our outfits for the first time. All of these moments were exciting — we could see our vision taking shape, and each felt like a win! I also loved ticking things off the list; it gave me such a dopamine hit!
Fredy:
For me, the best part was knowing the end destination — that at the end of it all, Reena would be my wife. I also loved seeing the wedding come together. It built up my excitement and made the journey even more special.
Did your vision for the wedding change over the planning process?
The final design was quite close to our vision!
We spent a lot of time researching ideas, pinning inspiration, and getting really clear on what we both liked. We had a good idea of what we wanted in terms of style, colour palette, entertainment, and the overall mood.
We wanted our wedding to feel modern, while still retaining some classic and natural undertones. We also wanted a chic and impactful look — without being too quirky or gimmicky — so striking a balance was important to us, and we knew we needed professional help!
That’s where our amazing wedding planner, Jessica from Style It Events, came in. We had a strong starting point with a detailed mood board, but it was Jessica who truly brought it to life. She refined our ideas, elevated the design, and created a cohesive look that felt even more polished and luxurious than we had first imagined.
Reena:
I’ll be honest — shaping the overall vision was one of the biggest challenges for me. Having someone like Jessica, who could take our initial concepts and translate them into a cohesive, high-end design, made all the difference. Her expertise really helped turn our dream into reality.
Tell us something that we wouldn’t know about your day from the pictures.
Reena:
The day of our wedding was the last time I got to celebrate such a big moment with my Dad by my side. He passed away in January 2025, so I will forever be grateful that he was there to walk me down the aisle. One special moment was after the civil ceremony when Fredy and I sat down for pictures. I looked over and saw my dad with the biggest, proudest smile on his face. I had to turn away to hold back tears. I won’t forget that.
Another special moment for me was seeing Fredy at the Civil ceremony for the first time. The morning was chaotic but the second I walked down the aisle and saw Fredy’s smile, all the stress melted away and a wave of calm came over me. That was the moment I decided to just let go and enjoy every second.
Fredy:
I’ll be honest — my back was aching all day! But my biggest worry was how my nerves would play out. I kept thinking, “Will I walk okay? Will I be able to repeat after the registrar without stumbling? And what if I don’t smile properly for the photos?”
At the Hindu ceremony, when I saw Reena walking toward the stage, I got a little tearful — seeing my wifey coming down to meet me was such a memorable moment. I was so happy. I don’t think anyone noticed — maybe just one person!
What inspired your day?
We saw our wedding as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a day that expressed who we were as a couple. Our inspiration was driven by a mix of our cultures, personalities, and personal taste — we just wanted it to take advantage of tailoring each small detail into something that meant something to us. For example:
The colour scheme and design reflected our taste and creative vision, as well as the tone and mood we wanted to express on the day.
Our wedding favours were shortbread biscuits (Fredy’s favourite), designed like the love heart sweets (Reena’s idea). We tried several bakers and landed on a custom order, handcrafted by Celine’s Homemade Bakes — her work is excellent!
We included a cocktail service with our favourite cocktails — Passion Fruit Martini (Reena’s favourite) and Mojito (Fredy’s favourite) — shout out to Kalm Kitchen!
My Gaming Table ran the roulette table for the evening entertainment, and the fun money featured a quote by Paulo Coelho — one of our favourite books is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
The list goes on!
While our wedding was a reflection of us, our family and friends inspired the day overall. So many of our loved ones travelled from different countries to be there, and we wanted to make sure everyone had an unforgettable experience. From a kiddie snack box for the little ones to offering three meal options, every decision we made had them in mind. We brought in famous Mauritian artists like Alain Ramanisum and Ivan Antalika to perform, thanks to Personal Touch Events. We were determined to give our guests an epic day!
Were there any family traditions that featured in your day?
It was really important to us to weave our cultures into the day in a way that felt natural and personal. Reena is Mauritian and Fredy is from Martinique, so we made sure both our backgrounds were celebrated throughout the wedding.
For the food, we gave a nod to Martinique by serving a starter inspired by Accras — delicious traditional fritters that are a staple in Caribbean cuisine. For the entertainment, we wanted to bring the vibrant energy of Mauritius to life, so we had traditional Mauritian music performed by incredible artists, thanks to Personal Touch Events, who also set us up with the brilliant DJ Kramar.
We also added smaller, meaningful touches throughout the day. Fredy’s reception outfit, for example, featured Madras — a traditional fabric from Martinique. What made it even more special was that the material came from his grandmother, who had passed away earlier in the year. Incorporating her fabric into his outfit was a beautiful way to have her with us.
The Hindu wedding ceremony celebrated Reena’s Mauritian-Hindu roots. We were happy that we could host a dual ceremony and include the Hindu wedding as part of one big day.
Are there any memorable anecdotes from the day you could share?
There were so many little moments that made the day unforgettable!
Before the civil ceremony, Reena had a quick session with the photographer and videographer. However, after the shoot, she realised parts of her wedding dress train were covered in dirt! The wedding planner, Jessica, and makeup artist, Manisha, worked their magic to clean it just in time for her to walk down the aisle.
For Fredy’s entrance at the Hindu ceremony, he was meant to arrive dancing with his family, led by music and celebration. But in true fashion, he ended up having to hurry his mum along because she was taking her time soaking up the moment — it was such a funny moment.
After the Hindu ceremony, we served cocktails to keep the celebrations flowing — and let’s just say our guests loved them a little too much! The Passion Fruit Martinis and Mojitos were such a hit that by the time we moved into the next part of the day, the energy was on another level (and the dance floor was already buzzing early on!).
Any words of wisdom for future couples?
Hire a coordinator:
If you’re having a dual ceremony, it will be a packed day, so hire a coordinator (who isn’t also setting up the event) to keep your wedding schedule on track.
Budget for the unexpected:
Set aside at least 10% of your budget as a contingency fund — unexpected costs are likely to pop up!
Be ready for your fitting:
If you’re getting custom outfits, aim to reach your fitness goals three months before the big day. Your final fitting is likely to take place about three months before, and it can be very difficult for the designer to make last-minute adjustments.
Enjoy it!
It’s your one chance to create a truly magical day with the person you love, so soak up every moment together!
Get a keepsake video:
Our wedding planner team, Style It Events, gave us a 10-minute video of the day. It captured the whole vibe of the day, from the small wedding details to our guests. It was a priceless keepsake — thank you, Style It Events!

In conversation with Bramley Founder, Chloë Luxton

Tell us about yourself and how you came to create Bramley?
I live with my husband, Charlie, and three children, two dogs, a tortoise, a hamster and some ducks, in a village in Wiltshire. We moved to the countryside from London over 15 years ago to take on The Beckford Arms pub. There were 8 bedrooms at the pub, and I wanted to put some really special products in the bathrooms, but when I looked at what was available on the market it was all single use plastic bottles, so I decided to create my own. Bramley can now be found in Fortnum & Mason, John Lewis and hotels such as The PIG hotels and Artist Residence.
Describe your brand in 3 words
Botanical magic – as that’s only 2, I’ll add in brilliant, ‘Brilliant botanical magic’!
Where do you find inspiration for your products?
I find inspiration everywhere but especially from nature – and it might not be from plants themselves, it could be a painting of a flower, the smell of the seaside, a recipe in a magazine or a blog article about an artist.
What are your favourite Bramley products that we have here at Millbridge Court?
Do I have to choose just one?! I have used all of the products that you have at Millbridge Court every day for the last 15 years (apart from the bubble bath) and I love them all. If I had to choose just one, I would say the Hand Wash. We wash our hands up to 8 times per day and our hand wash makes it a joy rather than a chore.
We’ve noticed that you have just celebrated your 15-year Anniversary, congratulations! It’s our 10-year anniversary coming up very soon. What do you think the key is to designing products and a brand that people come back to? And what has been your biggest achievement to date?
I think the key thing is to think about your customer at all times. If you lose sight of what they want and need then you will go off brand. When we design new products, I always have the hotels in the back of my mind – is the product useful for them or their guests? Are these ingredients as natural as they can be? Is the packaging sustainable and pretty enough etc etc?
Our biggest achievement to date has been working alongside the Princess of Wales during lockdown when she launched a campaign to help families living in poverty. I was delighted that she actually knew about Bramley!
We’re excited to have Bramley join us for our 10-year Anniversary Party on 28th October. Tell us a bit about what you will be offering to our guests on the night of the event.
Tamasin and Hephzi will be bringing our new natural skincare collection along for guests to try, offering advice on the best skincare for your skin type and giving mini hand massages if you’re in need of a little relaxation!
And lastly, what are your top tips for prepping your skin for a big event?
I think the key word here is prepping. I would start preparing my skin the night before with a double cleanse using our Rose Geranium Cream Cleanser and our Spearmint Face Wash, a face exfoliation with our Apple Peel Face Exfoliator followed by our Rosehip Nourishing Face Mask and then our Linden Blossom Restoring Night Serum and finally our Raspberry Seed Illuminating Face Oil. I would then use our Walnut Shell Invigorating Face Scrub as part of my skin prep just before the event to give it a lovely natural glow.

N & A – Married at Millbridge September 2023
We recently married at Millbridge and in the words of every single guest – the best wedding they’d ever been to!
It’s easy to be biased at your own wedding but the team at Millbridge Court made everything run so smoothly. Their professionalism is second to none and they were so friendly and informative throughout the whole process from our first viewing to even the day after when I thought I’d lost my wedding shoes! I really couldn’t relate to anyone who said they were stressed during the planning phase because Millbridge had it so in hand, and the members area of the website made our lives so easy – even down to choosing suppliers like make-up artists and DJs.
The venue itself lends itself so beautifully to indoor or outdoor weddings and we got to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Arbour for our confetti toss despite having an indoor ceremony. We loved the close knit feel of Millbridge, even down to having our closest friends and family stay at Millbridge and breakfast the morning after, which was such a nice touch to be able to catch up and talk about everyone’s favourite moments of the day (and drink lots and lots of coffee).
I cannot thank Shelby, Chloe, Hayley, Caroline and all of the other wonderful members of staff who made our day so perfect enough for their hard work.
Whilst I could ramble on forever about how perfect our wedding day was, I’ll stop here but if you’re looking for a venue, Millbridge is the one.

WOW! We had the most incredible wedding day at Millbridge Court and cannot fault the staff throughout our planning process and on the day. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and made sure that we didn’t have to lift a finger on the actual day – they made us feel so calm. The food was incredible (thank you Kalm Kitchen!!) and our suppliers were fantastic. Although they do this daily, we felt so special and like we were the only wedding that week. Everything was so personal, and they thought about every little finishing touch. Without a doubt the best day of our lives!

Having our wedding at Millbridge Court was the best decision ever!! All our guests were full of compliments about how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly the day ran. Throughout the planning of our wedding, they were always really helpful and quick at responding. On the day and the morning after they were so kind, supportive and helpful. Thank you!

C & B – Married at Millbridge June 2023
Millbridge Court was actually the first venue we looked at and we fell in love with it instantly. From the gorgeous green outside space to the wonderful bridal loft, it feels like you’re stepping into a gorgeous warm welcoming country home. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful this venue was and how it perfectly complimented us as a couple. The pictures speak for themselves!
The Millbridge team are incredibly attentive and helpful, even though they are communicating with hundreds of couples they made us feel so special and as if we had their undivided attention at all times – all the way from the open day through to our wedding day. Same goes for their caterers Kalm Kitchen – their food is as beautiful as it is delicious, and they helped us so much through all the selection processes and overall set up of our special day.
We can’t thank the Millbridge team and Kalm Kitchen enough for all of their help.

Millbridge Court is such a stunning venue, and we are so lucky we were able to host our wedding there. The grounds are so beautiful and colourful, it didn’t do the pictures justice! Everything has such a personal touch it really makes you feel at home. To the entire team at Millbridge Court we want to thank you for being so friendly and helpful throughout the entire process and as well to the team on the day. You really made it special, and we wish we could repeat the day all over again. We truly were sad to leave the following day (especially the gorgeous hideaway cabin) and hope we can visit again very soon!

Getting to Know – Eloise and Mitch

Eloise and Mitch recently became a Millbridge Court Partner! We loved working with them throughout the 2023 season and so we wanted to catch up with them to give you a little glimpse into the world of a wedding photographer.
What first made you fall in love with photography?
I have always adored photos. Being able to have a glimpse into my family’s life before I even existed is magic. I love to be able to look back on memories and moments. Photography gives us the opportunity to pause time, capturing unique instances that would otherwise pass by in a blur.
The excitement stems from knowing that every photograph tells its own story, revealing emotions and experiences that words often fail to capture adequately. Each photograph is like opening a door into another world brimming with nostalgia and joy. In our fast-paced lives, having the ability to document and preserve these memories brings me happiness.

What made you decide to work in the wedding industry?
I always loved the idea of being in the wedding industry and it all began when I started working for a venue as a wedding planner! I was so young; I took a few years out to go travelling and this is where I met Mitch. He was an established filmmaker in the music industry and the creative element really intrigued me.
We first met in September and then moved in together February. When you know, you know! After a few years, our perspective shifted from living for the weekends to cherishing each moment. We realised that true happiness lay not in accumulating possessions but in cultivating meaningful experiences. We found ourselves yearning for something more meaningful and purposeful in our lives. Our shared experiences and deep conversations made us realise that true fulfilment came from pursuing our passions which was telling visual stories through photo and film. We went with this gut feeling and we started ‘Eloise and Mitch’ which really is the best thing we have ever done!

How would you describe your style of photography?
Photos with feeling!
To be a good photographer, I believe you have to be very empathetic. It’s about immersing yourself into the world of your subject and truly understanding their emotions, their struggles, and their joys. It allows you to connect with people on a deeper level, gaining their trust and enabling you to capture raw, authentic moments that resonate.
Our ethos is “It’s about beauty in the passing moments.” Being able to read between the lines, anticipating what might happen next. The ability to understand others’ perspectives creates photos that truly mean something.
What is your favourite part or parts of a wedding day to capture?
I love looking out for moments with meaning and joy! Every moment is so special on your wedding day and it’s such a pleasure to document. A moment that tends to be filled with joy is just after you have said “I do”.
What top tips and advice do you give to couples ahead of their wedding day?
Remember it’s a celebration of your love. Try not to get too caught up with “trends” and “what your wedding should be”. Your wedding should feel personal to you both.
Be present and just have the time of your life!!!

Can you share some of your favourite moments from your Millbridge Court couples?
There are so many to choose from! A moment that springs to mind is Louise and Jacks’ Day, it was torrential rain, and we all ran outside with umbrellas and embraced that moment. It was so romantic and fun which in turn created some of my favourite images.
Apart from your camera’s, what other things can you not go to a wedding day without?
Good energy and trust! This is all I need!
What do you love most about Millbridge Court?
The venue is just beautiful. The way that the team ensure that the day runs seamlessly and how they are always thinking about the little details. I love how there is room for everyone to get ready at Millbridge Court and how they have a beautiful hideaway too for the evening of your wedding.

2024 Bridal Trends

The 2024 wedding season will soon be upon us, and for all you 2024 brides, the dress may be the one of the next big things on your list of to-do’s! We wanted to catch up with some of our partners and talk about all things bridal trends.
We asked Bridal Indulgence:
What do you see as the biggest trends for 2024?
Minimalist elegance: clean lines, simple silhouettes, and understated details have been popular in wedding dresses. Minimalist designs often feature sleek fabrics, such as satin or crepe, with minimal embellishments.
Statement sleeves: dramatic sleeves have been a prominent trend, with options like fitted sleeves, puff sleeves, or bell sleeves. These statement sleeves can add a touch of romance or vintage charm to a wedding dress.
Bows: who doesn’t love a bow? From a small bow that works as a finishing touch to a big dramatic bow that is the statement of your dress; they’re feminine and fun and we’re loving them!
Non-traditional colours: while ivory remains a classic choice, some brides want something a little more non-traditional like blush, champagne, or even bold hues like black or blue. These unconventional colours can add a unique touch to the wedding dress.
Detachable elements: wedding dresses with detachable elements, such as removable skirts, sleeves, capes, or overskirts, continue to be a popular choice. These versatile designs allow brides to have different looks throughout their wedding day, without spending out on multiple dresses.
What is your favourite look?
That’s really hard to narrow down just one look! But we’re currently loving how brides are switching up their look throughout the day with same dress with detachable sleeves, straps, and overskirts.

We asked The Farnham Boutique:
Give us a little insight into the designers you are stocking this year?
We have 4 designers at The Farnham Boutique, and each brings something different to the party. Made With Love brings contemporary, sophisticated elegance. Madi Lane brings romance. Evie Young boasts drama and Dama Couture has a bohemian coolness that we are so excited to introduce in 2024!
Veils – yes or no?!
YES! Veils add something quite spectacular to your photos (especially when the wind blows) and of course to your dress. It’s all about picking the right one. We love a long plain veil for that dramatic look!
What is your absolute all-time favourite look?
It’s so hard to choose as it changes all the time. At the moment we love the plain, fitted dress but it all depends on who wears which dress. Every bride is so unique, and the dress has to reflect that.

We asked Sophie Rose Bridal:
What do you think the biggest trends for this year will be?
It’s all about the sleeves! Long sleeves, puff sleeves, detachable sleeves, they’re all back and I’m VERY happy about it. I’m not a big believer in trends when it comes to wedding dresses, as I think it’s about simply wearing an outfit that makes you feel truly you and your most beautiful self, but I find sleeves often help women feel so much more comfortable and confident, so I’m all for it.
How would describe your collection for the upcoming year?
I’ve just released the Studio Collection, which is a collection of dresses that have an edge of simplicity but still with a romantic, relaxed feeling. I think women are realising more and more that there aren’t any ‘shoulds’ when it comes to bridalwear and wearing what makes you feel most comfortable is what’s important. More intimate weddings are also becoming more popular, and I think the Studio Collection suits that really well.
Any tips for brides looking for their dream dress?
Take time to research where you’re going to book an appointment to try on dresses. If somewhere resonates with you and they have the style that excites you, then they’re the places to go. I’d also suggest going with only a couple of people maximum. Choosing your dress can only really be your decision and having lots of voices as part of that decision can be very overwhelming and confusing! There will be plenty of fitting appointments that your special people can be a part of if you wish, so you can still have them as part of your dress experience.

Getting to Know – Made with Grace

Meet Grace! She’s been a Millbridge Court partner for just over a year now and every time she is here at the venue, we are in absolute awe of her floral gorgeousness. The rustic designs, use of natural foliage and our shared love for Autumnal floral installations – we just had to share some of Grace’s recent work – simply stunning!
How would you describe your style of floristry?
Romantic, feminine, elegantly wild, unconventional and artistic.
What first made you fall in love with flowers?
Having always had a deep love of craftsmanship and the arts, combined with a joy of admiring the beauty of the countryside when we got our dog, I began to explore the world of floristry, and I simply fell head over heels. I found the ability to transform space and evoke awe and wonder through floral artistry totally addictive and I feel so grateful to now be the artist behind creating this source of great pleasure for the beholder.

What made you decide to work in the wedding industry?
A love of the variety of wedding designing, the bespoke nature of the work and the personal connections formed throughout the experience of the design service.

What top tips and advice do you give to couples ahead of their wedding day?
You don’t have to have it all figured out from the beginning, follow trends and traditions or have a perfect pinterest board. By choosing suppliers that you love, trust and ignite your excitement, they will be able to take inspiration from what means the most to you and create really special work, perfectly reflective of you.
But, above all, enjoy it, every moment, from the planning right through to when you head home as newlyweds. Cherish the time and memories of celebrating the greatest power of all with those you hold closest.

What do you love most about Millbridge Court?
One, the light. The way it streams in through the huge windows, bathing everything in its path so elegantly. Flowers especially are best appreciated in natural light, so the abundance of this throughout the venue is perfect.
Second, the Millbridge team. Always kind, helpful and supportive, these qualities truly make all the difference to the comfort of you and your guests.
Can you share some of your favourite floristry from your Millbridge Court couples?
On a warm October day I had the pleasure of flowering at Millbridge Court with a relaxed style, autumnal and romantic brief. Amongst other designs, we created a textural and abundant floral runner framing the ceremony which then was moved to style the top table. The way the light framed and illuminated the floral details and shone through the amber leaves was stunning and created a warm and graceful ambience. The brides bouquet was also a favourite of mine, in elegant shades of rust, blush and burgundy, which she went on to press, preserving such a precious momento.

What floristry trends are you seeing for 2024?
More of a value than a trend I suppose, but I’m finding that couples are becoming increasingly conscious in their choices with regard to sustainability. Seasonality, celebrating British grown where possible and creating without floral foam are becoming commonly desired from their floral design service. Fortunately I strongly share these values and am always striving for green practices and happy to provide discussion and education on these aspects to those curious.

Details Date Night at Millbridge Court

Our Details Date Nights here at Millbridge Court are fabulous evenings we always look forward to.
Once our couples have booked their wedding day with us, it is their first opportunity to come back and see the venue, not only dressed for the first time, but to speak to a handful of our partners and start getting inspired! Excitingly, we got to showcase our brand new wood fired pizza this year, with Kalm Kitchen firing up the oven for our couples to enjoy a slice. It is safe to say, they are delicious!
Having hosted the last one of 2023 just a couple of weeks ago, we wanted to look back at the fun we had along with thanking the amazing talent that helped make the evenings a success!
