Millbridge Court has had a refresh, and we’re excited to show you around.
Set in the village of Frensham, Surrey, just an hour from London, the 19th-century house has been thoughtfully reimagined alongside Red Deer, the creative studio behind St John, The Gallivant and LIMEKILN, and interior designer Helen Pike, formerly of Soho House.
Our brief was to honour the building’s heritage while bringing in a more playful, contemporary spirit. Throughout the house, the design draws on Victorian architecture and Surrey’s history of craftsmanship, blending cottagecore charm, rich textiles and thoughtful details inspired by the surrounding landscape.
The aim was to build on the character of the house and create somewhere that feels relaxed, welcoming and thoughtfully considered; equally suited to weddings, launch parties, retreats and long weekends with friends.
Across the house, original details now sit alongside layered interiors, vintage furniture and tactile fabrics from the likes of Studio Ashby, Pierre Frey and Beata Heuman. Upstairs, seven en-suite bedrooms in the main house are designed to feel more like a hotel stay than a traditional venue, complete with those extra touches throughout.
Tucked away in the garden, The Cabin is our most secluded room, with a freestanding bathtub, log burner and hand-painted Balineum tiled fireplace, while The Lodge offers an additional bedroom and spacious upstairs lounge overlooking the grounds.
At the heart of the house are two expansive halls with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and floor-to-ceiling windows, designed to shift effortlessly from candlelit dinners and weddings to creative showcases and late-night parties. There’s also a hidden bar, finished with a backlit onyx front and brass top, concealed behind opulent curtains, made for cocktails that turn into one more.
Outside, the gardens and surrounding woodland set the scene for long lunches and wood-fired feasts.
