The Wedding Industry Awards- Our Voters Comments

This Summer, we were nominated to enter TWIA (The Wedding Industry Awards) and being in the midst of our first season, we entered the awards without any expectations of making it through to the shortlisted stages; the fact that we were even nominated was flattering enough.
We then asked all of our couples who got married with us between May and October to (if they felt that they would like to) write a testimonial on our TWIA profile page, and we then waited to see if we were shortlisted. Rather excitingly, we were absolutely delighted to find out that we became Regional Finalists for Best Countryside Venue in London & South East!
We didn’t make it through to the National Stages of the awards (unlike our wonderful catering partners, Kalm Kitchen, who only went & won Best Wedding Caterer this week!!!) but we did get to read all of our voters comments following the end of the Regional Stage of the competition and oh my word… to say it was an emotional read would be putting it lightly. Damian Bailey, the Founder of TWIA, did mention we would need to be armed with a packet of tissues when reading our voters comments and he really wasn’t joking.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much to our wonderful couples who so generously took the time to vote for us and leave such heartfelt comments about their Wedding Days with us here at Millbridge Court, it really did mean the world to us. The fact that we even had a Bride contact the awards organisers to explain that she could not possibly say all of the wonderful things that she wanted to say in 500 characters and so wanted to find out if there was anyway that she could send something longer is just so overwhelming. Thank you for making our first year truly unforgettable and we could not be happier that we were able to share in your utterly gorgeous Wedding Days.

“We had seen about 25 wedding venues in Surrey and could not find what were looking for, until we found Millbridge court. It is an absolutely stunning venue. The team are exceptional, helpful, passionate, professional, & they ensured that everything on the day went without a hitch. It is difficult to overstate how fantastic this venue is, from the beauty of the setting to the professionalism of the staff. We recommend it for this award without reservation.
The venue is breath-taking, the light was amazing even on a cold wet October day when we first saw it. Everything flows and has been designed with thought and purpose. The bridal changing room is absolutely brilliant and the rooms for the hotel are lovely. Matthew showed us around and, we trusted his vision of how things would look in the summer. We then met Laura and sent her 100 odd emails! She was fantastic in answering every query. Unlike all of the other venues we viewed there were no hidden costs and this was really important. Everything you see when you look around is all there on the day – this was too good to be true, but is! We wanted to know that the team in place would be able to execute our day as we wanted it, and that is exactly what we got.”

“Modern, beautiful, sophisticated, vintage, just utter gorgeousness – What a venue! We planned our wedding in 9 weeks & can honestly say it was completely stress free. Laura is wonderful-so organised, calm & full of ideas. From day one the service was exceptional. They always made it feel like we were the only ones getting married & that our day was the most important day above all others. We wanted a less formal and more fun wedding and had our own ideas from day one of how we wanted it to be and they jumped aboard and took it that 10 steps further to make it even better!
They are creative perfectionists, I named Laura one of my little fairys because she just goes around with her magic wand sprinkling that magic fairy dust everywhere you go and making everything beautifully perfect! She even ordered the sunshine for me at my request. – ‘Beautiful day’, ‘Amazing day’, ‘Fabulous’, ‘Superb’, ‘Truly amazing’, ‘Phenomenal celebration’ is just a few words of feedback from our guests. The service they provide is truly personal. We would not have changed a thing for our wedding – Perfect day, perfect venue, perfect team, we thank them from the bottom of our hearts. They just went above and beyond. Our perfect day – Truly.”

“We fell in love with MBC as soon as we saw it and then knew it was the venue for us partly due to the thought that has gone into the space & the layout of venue both inside & out, they have thought of everything! It gave us so many options (inside/outside ceremony, a separate room for the children, a large bridal salon on site (my hair & makeup ladies were and still are in awe!), bedrooms for guests, different dining options and spaces drinks reception areas inside and out. And it works! Our entire Wedding Day at MBC was beautifully seamless; at no point were we/ our guests aware of any interruptions or rearranging of spaces. The staff are wonderful, always there but never intrusive – helpful, friendly, professional throughout. I would recommend MBC to any Bride-to-Be in an instant, in fact I would insist that they just have to get married there!”

“I cannot fault a single detail about Millbridge Court and the team. They were absolutely exceptional from the day I first got in touch to the day of the wedding. Nothing was too much trouble and we had the absolutely perfect day. The venue team had so many ideas and pieces of advice which were invaluable but were also flexible in ensuring we were able to have the day just as we wanted. The entire venue is absolutely stunning and they have thought of absolutely everything! Just perfect.”

“Millbridge Court was the first venue that we found that had everything. Perfect location, setting and ambience with it catering for every single aspect of a wedding. Every detail has been considered and well thought out. The outside area is a complete showstopper. As the groom my favourite moment was walking to the arbour with my guests and just hearing each one being in awe of the setting. It was beautiful. This venue has it all and the choice was a no brainer for us. It blew every other venue away.
The outside, rustic countryside nature of the venue is magical. You feel like you’re in a different world. It’s incredibly intimate and welcoming without being over the top.
We had so much confidence in the team that they knew how to put on a wedding and we were not left disappointed. So many of our guests have recommended the venue to friends. So much of their hard work and effort was truly appreciated by us and our guests. I may be biased but I am confident that it will be a long time before I go to a better wedding venue than Millbridge Court.”

You ‘held our hand’ throughout the whole process and impressed beyond belief. Everything you talked about came to life in a magical way. You always responded to our queries promptly and appropriately. Thank you for creating memories beyond our wildest dreams, it would not have been the day it was without you all.”
